**Job Title: CNC Operator and Setter**

**Job Summary**:
**Responsibilities**:

- **Machine Operation**:

- Set up and operate CNC machines to produce high-quality components based on engineering drawings and specifications.
- Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure precision and adherence to quality standards.
- **Tool Setup and Changeover**:

- Perform tool changes, tool offsets, and tool touch-offs as required during the setup and operation of CNC machines.
- Collaborate with the tooling department to ensure availability of required tools and materials.
- **Program Interpretation**:

- Read and interpret CNC programs, making adjustments as needed to optimize machining processes.
- Collaborate with programmers and engineers to understand program requirements and make recommendations for improvements.
- **Quality Control**:

- Conduct in-process inspections to ensure that parts meet quality standards and specifications.
- Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to verify dimensions.
- **Maintenance and Troubleshooting**:

- Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
- Work closely with maintenance and engineering teams to address technical problems and implement solutions.
- **Safety and Compliance**:

- Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or certification is a plus.
- X years of experience as a CNC Operator and Setter in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and CNC programs.
- Strong knowledge of CNC controls and machining processes.
- Ability to perform machine setups, tool changes, and adjustments independently.
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and quality control processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
