**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- **Trend Research and Analysis**:

- Stay updated on current fashion trends, with a particular focus on ethnic wear, fabric innovations, and design techniques.
- Analyze market trends and consumer preferences to anticipate future fashion needs in the ethnic wear segment.
- **Concept Development**:

- Develop original design concepts and themes that celebrate ethnic traditions while incorporating modern trends.
- Create mood boards, sketches, and design prototypes for new ethnic wear collections.
- **Design and Development**:

- Use design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, CAD) to create detailed garment designs with a special emphasis on ethnic patterns, embroidery, and embellishments.
- Select fabrics, colors, and accessories that complement ethnic design concepts and reflect cultural aesthetics.
- Collaborate with pattern makers and seamstresses to develop sample garments, ensuring traditional techniques are incorporated where appropriate.
- **Production Oversight**:

- Supervise the production process to ensure designs are executed according to specifications and traditional craftsmanship is preserved.
- Conduct fittings and make adjustments to designs based on feedback, maintaining the integrity of ethnic elements.
- **Collaboration and Communication**:

- Work closely with other team members, including marketing, merchandising, and production staff, to ensure cohesive brand messaging.
- Communicate design concepts and production requirements effectively, especially those related to ethnic wear.
- **Quality Control**:

- Ensure that all designs meet quality standards and are produced with attention to detail, particularly in the context of ethnic têxtiles and craftsmanship.
- Address and resolve any issues related to design or production, focusing on the accuracy of ethnic elements.
- **Portfolio and Brand Development**:

- Build and maintain a strong portfolio showcasing ethnic wear designs and creative abilities.
- Contribute to brand development and help establish a distinct identity, especially within the ethnic fashion market.
- **Client and Market Interaction**:

- Present designs to clients, buyers, or stakeholders and incorporate feedback, particularly on ethnic wear collections.
- Attend fashion shows, trade fairs, and other industry events to network, gain inspiration, and promote ethnic wear lines.
- **Administrative Duties**:

- Prepare design specifications and technical drawings with attention to ethnic design details.
- Manage design timelines and budgets efficiently, ensuring the incorporation of traditional and modern elements.
- **Continuous Improvement**:

- Seek feedback and continuously improve design techniques and processes, with a focus on ethnic wear.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies, methods, and trends in ethnic fashion design.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Fine Arts, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a fashion designer or in a similar role, with strong design skills in ethnic wear.
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, CAD).
- Comprehensive knowledge of têxtiles, including traditional fabrics used in ethnic wear.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a range of ethnic designs and creative abilities.
- Excellent sketching and illustration skills.
- Deep understanding of fabrics, têxtiles, and garment construction, with a focus on ethnic materials and techniques.
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

**Additional Information**:

- Position may require occasional travel for fashion shows or client meetings.
