Introduction:

- The role holder will report to the VP- BDC Platform Delivery [India], building expertise across all of the Client Services, Colleague Services and Product services and supporting the broad delivery agenda.
- The purpose of the role is to ensure that Private Bank India is able to provide high-end services in an effective, scalable and compliant manner. This encompasses policy, processes, business procedures and supporting systems. A key requirement is balancing the competing requirements of regulatory, new product launch, new system launch and operational risk against the client experience and commercial considerations

What will you be doing?

COO Business Management
- Proactive identification and resolution of all day to day and change related issues impacting the operation of the business, ensuring all stakeholders are kept appropriately informed.
- Proactive engagement and support on functional responsibilities across the wider Investment and Credit Product business line including but not limited to; Service Management, Resilience, Control and Governance, Annual product Reviews, RCSA, Management Reporting, New Business Initiatives, Data Management.
- Contribute to the shaping of PB&OS and BDC strategic direction, including short and medium-term priorities, measures, delivery roadmap and effective translation, via colleague engagement and communication, to agreed ownership within the broader organisation
- Drive cost and efficiency improvements, and support implementation of the broader Barclays Group agenda across OS and PB UK&I to maximise the value / returns to shareholders
- Support in ensuring that products comply with Group-wide standards including Security and Fraud, Legal, Design, Marketing, Conduct Risk, Financial Crime, Data Privacy, Operational Risk, Business Assurance, Compliance, Information Risk and Business Continuity requirements
- Support to ensure that the product suite remains in compliance with regulatory and policy changes/requirements

Change Delivery & Readiness
- Take full accountability for the delivery of projects within his/her portfolio. Accountable to ensure that the projects/programmes produce:

- the agreed deliverables to the required standard of quality
- desired outcomes within the specified constraints of time and cost; monitoring the expenditure and costs as the initiative progresses
- accurate and relevant status reporting across their portfolio of change and providing accurate forecasting of delivery and consistently maintain accurate status information and reporting of risks and issues.
- Where change is not directly owned/ managed, ensure change is fit for purpose and lands successfully within the business.
- Responsible for any allocated aspect of the end to end project lifecycle e.g. delivery of business critical or remediation activity or ensuring the initiative is accepted into BAU ownership.
- Engage with the front office colleagues to ensure that they have transparency of the change impacting them and can input to key requirements

Portfolio Management & Governance
- Accountable to ensure all new project/programme delivery across the team is executed in accordance with Barclays governance process change governance process, adheres to NAPA Process and Treating Customers Fairly standards and risk and regulatory standards.
- Manage demand prioritisation and pipeline change to ensure that the right resources are lined up for delivery, identifying synergies and opportunities for alignment of initiatives within the portfolio to maximise speed and maintain the efficient use of resources.
- Lead and run the appropriate change governance forums for PB&OS Products so that the appropriate status reporting, escalation and decision making occurs.
- Champion the development of the change capability across the business unit to continuously enhance business efficiency and quality of change
