**Jira administrator / SRE**

**Job description summary**
- Participate in managingAdobe on-prem Jira instances including Jira and plugin upgrades.
- Troubleshoot server performance, exceptions, errors and debugging logs.
- Work with infrastructure support teams to keep hardware updated and patched.
- Identify opportunities, troubleshootand improve automations that help users and admins.
- Participate in the on-call schedule, with 12 hour IST time zone shifts.
- Manage, troubleshootand optimize Jira workflows, fields, issue types, permissions, notifications, filters, boards, dashboards.
- Identify areas for improvement, optimization, and consolidation.
- Advise Engineering teams on best practices for Jira.
- Communicate and share knowledge with internal and external contacts at all levels.

**What you will need to succeed**:

- 7+ years oftotal experience with 3+years of Jira Administration.
- Experiencehandling Jira operations and customizing Jira project configurations.
- A scripting language preferably Python or Groovy.
- Strong work ethic, good time management skills, ability to work in a dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical and documentation skills, fast learning.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

**Nice to have**:

- Bachelor's or Master’s degreein Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Hands-on experience working with Atlassian tools, especially Jira and Confluence.
- SQL skills, database knowledge
- Unix command line
- Experience with CI/CD tools and build and release process
- Experience with managing Jira for scale; with Jira SaaS
- Agile methodology knowledge and experience
