### Job Title: NGO Field Coordinator

### Job Description

The NGO Field Coordinator will play a pivotal role in supporting on-ground initiatives aimed at empowering communities and mobilizing resources for sustainable development. This position is responsible for engaging with communities, creating self-help groups (SHGs), and coordinating fundraising activities to support our organization’s mission.

## Key Responsibilities

1. **Community Engagement & Mobilization**
- Conduct regular outreach in targeted communities to identify needs and opportunities for engagement.
- Build relationships with local leaders, community members, and other stakeholders to foster trust and collaboration.
- Educate communities about the NGO’s mission, goals, and ongoing projects to encourage local support and participation.

2. **Self-Help Group (SHG) Creation & Facilitation**
- Identify and recruit community members to form Self-Help Groups focused on economic empowerment, skill-building, or other targeted initiatives.
- Provide training and guidance to SHGs on group formation, leadership, financial management, and project planning.
- Facilitate regular meetings with SHGs, monitor their progress, and provide mentorship to ensure sustainable impact.

3. **Fundraising & Resource Mobilization**
- Develop and execute local fundraising strategies to generate funds for community-based projects and initiatives.
- Organize and lead community-based fundraising activities, events, and campaigns.
- Identify potential donors, including individuals, businesses, and other organizations, and engage them in supporting the NGO’s mission.

4. **Data Collection & Reporting**
- Collect, maintain, and report data on SHG activities, fundraising efforts, and community engagement metrics.
- Provide regular reports to the project manager, documenting achievements, challenges, and community feedback.
- Ensure transparency and accountability in all field activities, including funds utilization and impact measurement.

5. **Training & Capacity Building**
- Conduct training workshops for community members on various topics, such as financial literacy, business skills, and community leadership.
- Provide ongoing support to SHGs to enhance their skills and enable their growth and sustainability.
- Facilitate knowledge-sharing among SHGs and promote best practices for collective empowerment.

6. **Collaboration & Networking**
- Establish connections with other local NGOs, government bodies, and community organizations to identify partnership opportunities.
- Collaborate with local authorities to ensure alignment with governmental policies and support for community initiatives.
- Act as a liaison between the NGO and the community, ensuring that community needs and feedback are communicated effectively.

## Required Skills and Qualifications
- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Community Development, Nonprofit Management, or related fields.
- **Experience**: Minimum of 2 years in community outreach, fieldwork, or a related role in a nonprofit setting.
- **Fundraising Skills**: Proven experience in fundraising, with a track record of successfully mobilizing resources.
- **Community Building**: Strong skills in group facilitation, community mobilization, and capacity-building.
- **Communication**: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in the local language(s) and English.
- **Interpersonal Skills**: Ability to work effectively with diverse communities and build strong relationships with community members.
- **Organizational Skills**: Strong planning, organizing, and time-management abilities; comfortable handling multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.

## Preferred Attributes
- Familiarity with SHG models and local governance structures.
- Passionate about community development and empowering underserved populations.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the field area and work flexible hours.

## Working Conditions
- **Location**: Primarily field-based with occasional office work.
- **Working Hours**: Full-time, with potential for weekend and evening engagements as needed.
