**Overall Purpose of The Job**
- The Vetting Officer is required to assist with the coordination and administration of all Vetting matters within the Group HSSEQ department, supporting the Group Vetting Director & BU Vetting Managers.

**Key Responsibilities and Tasks**
- Promoting A Strong, Pro-Active Safety Culture
Ensure the Company’s Safety Culture is promoted and maintained to the highest possible standards, in all locations, through;
- Active engagement with all employees on HSSEQ- and Vetting related issues
- Participate in & provide input to HSSEQ- and Vetting related meetings and inspections
- Implementing and promoting V.Group’s ‘Key Behaviours of Great Safety Leaders’ (accompanying this JD)

Vetting Support
- Coordinate interface between BU Cluster and Group management on Vetting issues
- Processing of vessel information and accurate entry of same into the office systems
- Provide support to the BU Cluster with the monitoring and administration of the performance management data systems and oversight (i.e. ShipSure 2 data / systems, Oil Major Dashboard, PSC performance, inspection / audit trackers etc.)
- Provide support to the BU Cluster with maintaining OCIMF PSC & Incident repository database.
- Provide support to the BU Cluster and Fleet cell in updating HVPQ & Q88 and review the static details in HVPQ & Q88.
- Provide support to the BU Cluster and Fleet cell in updating vessel certificates in OCIMF / SIRE system

Vetting Analysis & Reporting of Performance Data
Provide support to the BU Cluster Vetting Manager on;
- BU Cluster performance data is proactively analysed and utilised to inform effective, data-driven decisions to enhance performance
- Identify trends within local performance and implement effective measures to correct or enhance as necessary
- Update Monthly Vetting Bulletin & PSC Statistics (including quarterly high-risk observations & repeated observations)
- Where required, ensure data submitted to Clients is effectively collated & submitted on time, to accurately reflect relevant performance criteria

Compliance & Certification
Support BU Cluster Vetting Manager of compliance with Vetting-related legislative, operational, client-driven, and internal standards, to ensure;
- Customer relations and satisfaction are continually maintained to ensure flawless service delivery
- timely completion of all required audits and inspections, and the retention of associated certification/licenses
- mínimal potential legislative, operational, and administrative non-conformity
- all Vetting findings & actions are managed & effectively closed out within agreed timeframes

Development & Evolution
- Assist on identify opportunities for growth & development of the Vetting function, to ensure capabilities and means of delivery are continually improved
- Where required, assist in specific projects such as;
- management & maintenance of Vetting-related ShipSure processes, and ShipSure BI analytics and insight
- providing function-specific input to internal development projects
- development and implementation of Vetting initiatives
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
- Group and BU Cluster performance against published HSSEQ KPI’s and metrics
- Group and BU Cluster performance against industry assurance programs (e.g., TMSA, OVMSA etc.)
- Group and BU performance against industry accreditation programs (e.g., ISM, ISPS etc.)
- Group and BU performance against industry inspection programs (e.g., PSC)

**Required Experience**
- ESSENTIAL:

- Recognised qualification in relevant field
- Strong, clear communication and administrative skills
- Computer literate
- Methodical approach to work, organisational planning skills
- Significant experience in engaging and collaborating with multinational / multicultural teams

DESIRABLE:

- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 /
+91-XXXXXXXXXX Standards
- Working knowledge of maritime HSSEQ / Vetting standards & legislation beneficial
- Working knowledge of ISM and ISPS codes, other standards (MLC, MARPOL, SOLAS, ISO, OHSAS, etc.) & statuto
