Job Title - Credit Underwriter
Job type - Full-time
Location - Bangalore, Mumbai India
- Review and verify income statements, tax returns and other financial documents to develop a borrower's profile and arrive at a credit recommendation.
- Conduct telephonic discussions and risk assessments on potential applicants based on previous borrowing history, credit rating, industry experience and other factors
- Develop and implement policies & procedures. Collaborate with team members and upper management to establish guidelines and best practices.
- Conduct quality control audits and prepare monthly, quarterly, and/or annual reports.
Desired Skills
- Strong financial acumen and problem solving skills
- Knowledge of basic accounting theories, credit principles, lending functions, loan research and general credit policies.
- In-depth understanding of Personal Loan product
- Analytical thinking and attention to details
- Good communication skills
Work Experience
- Work experience of 3 or more years in similar profile with NBFC/Banks/Fin-tech Lending Institutions
