JOB STATEMENT

GQS Coordinator is responsible for providing technical problem solving for assigned requests where customer requested parts are not active in Metso Outotec’s ERP system, local material is not up-to-date or where part(s) need to be identified.

Primary activities include evaluation of inquiries and compatibility with Metso Outotec parts and services, coordination of parts identification / product line support, researching historical projects to identify OEM supply, identification of commonality of parts through global ERP system, requesting material creation through SAP workflows, follow-up on assigned tickets to ensure timely response and continued communication.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Process requests for technical support according to defined guidelines and limits.
Provide support and answers to customers’ technical issues through part identification of the problem itself, research on answers and provide subsequent provision of guidance
Work with key expert network, locally and globally, when needed to answer more complex requests.
Research history of parts to identify commonalities to support global harmonization efforts.
Raise requests within SAP for creation and harmonization of Material Master Data.
Support Procurement Specialists in determining if supply.
Give clear instructions for Master Data to Modify the ERP Data.
Cross train with different product lines to develop technical knowledge for various Products.
Demonstrates dependability and punctuality
Observes safety regulations and exhibits a concern for safety.
Shows commitment to quality ethics and focuses on meeting the needs and expectation of both the internal and external customers
Responsible to expedite all activities on requests through daily communication with Expert Network including, but not limited to, Product Management, Purchasing, Project Management & Engineering to meet the customer’s requirements.
Establish and maintain a good company image by providing exceptional customer service, a professional attitude and up-to-date product knowledge.
Demonstrate cooperative team effort within the solutions group and the team.
Position requires excellent customer relation skills, ability to work within a team environment, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work in a very fast paced environment.
Improve efficiency of Quotation Response Time (QRT).
Perform other duties and/or other special projects as required.

AUTHORITY

Authorized to evaluate, complete and assign global quotation support tickets as directed and within guidelines established by the Global Quotation Support Manager, Head of Global Quotation Support and Global Quotation Support policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Associates degree, certification and technical abilities.
Minimum of 3 years’ relevant work experience in Customer Services, supply chain, product support or engineering.
Experience in mining, engineering, industrial or construction industry.
Experience with CRM systems.
Mechanical aptitude - ability to read and understand drawings.
Experience with Metso Outotec products.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Strong familiarity with IT tools and ERP/integrated system (preferable SAP)
Valid passport for international travel and/or driver’s license for local travel must be maintained.
