Trainee - Safety

**_Diploma/Course/graduation in Environmental Health & Safety/Industrial Safety is mandatory requirement.
- **

1. Authorize safety work permit by ensuring compliance of instructions given in the permit.

2. Co-ordinate with contractors (AMC Person) to check & ensure that all emergency equipment (Fire extinguishers, Fire Hydrant system, Sprinklers, Fire alarm system, SCBA sets, Emergency showers, Siren, Manual call points, Heat & Smoke detection system), are in well operational condition.

3. Support an accident prevention program w.r.t. EHS Policy, create shop floor employee awareness for (a) Identification of unsafe act, & unsafe conditions, (b) Report Near Miss cases, and Accidents & suggest CAPA. Investigate industrial incidents & maintain record. Ensure CAPA implementation.

4. Ensure use of Personal Protective Equipment to all the concern employees & contractors at site

5. Coordination for Carrying out theme based EHS programs on monthly basis for improving safety (EHS) culture.

6. Implement Contractor EHS requirement & create awareness for strengthening EHS function.

7. Coordination for carrying out EHS training for Management, Non-Management & Contract people as per the schedule.

8. Co-ordinate with all the department for implementation of all the annexures as per the EHS SOPs.

9. Coordination for conducting Mock Drill & Safety Committee Meetings as per the schedule.

10. Arrangement of vehicles for disposal of Hazardous waste in accordance with Hazardous & Other Waste Rules 2016, prepare statutory forms (Form 3, 8, 9 & 10) and maintain records.

11. Maintaining the Hazardous chemical storage room as per statutory requirement

12. Arrange EHS promotional activities / celebrations / competitions to create awareness.

13. Ensure timely revision of IMS documents & compliance for audit readiness.

14. Ensuring the safe activities in co-ordination with Production & Engineering team to ensure accident-free site.

15. Reporting of Accidents / Incidents and Near Miss by taking plant rounds

16. Preparation of Purchase Request & Coordinate with Purchase department for preparation of Purchase Order.

17. Coordinate with finance department for timely payment of bills of EHS department.

18. Record keeping and documentation (Hard & Soft) of all the EHS SOPs.

19. Inspection of machines guarding, lifting tools and other equipment to ensure the compliance and safe working.

20. Ensure closure of all the audit observations by follow up with concern HODs.

21. Monitoring the ETP operations as per the MPCB norms

22. Daily verification of water pressure in fire hydrant system

23. Follow-up with the concern department for closing unsafe Act/Conditions of their respective department.

24. Continuous monitoring for use of required PPEs by concern employees & by contractor persons

25. Update of MPCB LED display board as per the latest reports

26. Any other EHS related activities entrusted by HOD.
