**The Role**:
**Where you fit in?**
- Solution Architect is responsible for delivering solution designs to projects. These solutions need to be fit for purpose within the portfolio, have technical integrity, the right TCO (total cost of ownership) through its life cycle and a good fit with the IT technology direction of Shell. The resultant High Level Design have a measurable impact on the effectiveness and profitability of Shell.
- DEPARTMENT PURPOSE: To implement and support the strategy and value delivery for Shell Businesses on Salesforce Platform.

**What's the role?**
- Strong knowledge of Salesforce technology and its market standard offerings
- Applies TOE standards and raises step-outs if needed. Applies the standard architecture tools for creating and storing key architecture artefacts (IBM System Architect, PowerDesigner and/or ProVision); fosters re-use.
- Understands the IT Strategic Roadmap and applies within the context of their organisational assignment. Uses the related reference architectures and roadmaps for Salesforce, Cloud, Mobile, Integration, OpenSource, Big Data, etc.

**SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**:

- A minimum of 7 - 14 years in a professional senior technical role such as Solution architect, technical lead, team lead, technical architect, or other hands on leadership role ideally for a major consultancy or system integrator.
- A minimum of 6-8 years of Salesforce solution design and implementation experience
- Excellent communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to lay audiences. Some experience of with working with board level stakeholders.
- Self-starter with the ability to appropriately priorities and plan complex work in a rapidly changing environment
- Results oriented with ability to produce products that deliver organizational benefit
- Strong critical thinker with problem solving aptitude.
- Team player with experience leading and collaborating cross-team to ensure successful delivery of solutions
- Strong conceptual and analytical skills - demonstrating outside-the-box problem solving skills
- Ability to develop solution architecture designs
- Experience of developing Services Orientated Architectures (SOA)& Micro Services.
- Experience in Functional Mapping of Business Processes and Product features.
- Experience in Middleware architecture and integration architecture.
- Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture methodologies such as TOGAF or the equivalent
- Lead and participate in multi-disciplinary architecture and design teams for architecting digital solutions. Provide an overall solution framework for the vendor teams, integrate solutions from them and resolve conflicts.
- Strong background in integration architecture & implementation of SOA (Service Oriented Architecture).
- Articulate benefits of digital architectures and their benefits by drawing comparisons against the current state architecture.
- Comfortable with designing RESTful APIs

**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Strong expertise in all Salesforce SAAS solutions and Lightning Platform
- Data migration between SFDC environments using relevant tools and mechanisms
- Preferred Certifications:

- TOGAF
- Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder
- Salesforce Certified Sales and/or Service Cloud
