**You Are**:
Platform Technician

**The Opportunity**:
Platform Technicians are responsible for assembling, bringing up, and maintaining hardware platforms, including servers, workstations, and embedded devices. They ensure proper hardware and software configurations, perform troubleshooting activities, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project and testing requirements. This role involves hands-on technical work, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assemble, configure, and bring up hardware platforms, including installing components, flashing BIOS, and updating firmware.
- Install and configure operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.), drivers, and necessary software for validation or production environments.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, performing root-cause analysis and documenting resolutions.
- Coordinate with engineers, lab technicians, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless platform deployment and testing.
- Maintain inventory of hardware components and track version control of firmware updates.
- Adhere to lab safety protocols and maintain an organized workspace.
- Generate and maintain documentation for platform configurations, issues, and resolutions.

**What you need**:
**Qualifications**:

- 2+ years of experience in hardware assembly, system bring-up, or a similar technical support role.
- Proficiency in installing and configuring operating systems, drivers, and firmware.
- Familiarity with BIOS/UEFI flashing, firmware updates, and hardware validation tools.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for both hardware and software issues.

**Bonus points if**:

- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with attention to detail and a customer-focused mindset.
- Ability to work independently, follow safety guidelines, and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
