Draftsperson Job Description

**Summary**

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Draftsperson to join our team and play a key role in transforming designs into clear and accurate technical drawings. In this role, you will collaborate with engineers or other design professionals to translate their ideas and specifications into precise technical drawings using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software. Your drawings will be critical for the successful completion of various projects, ensuring their functionality, compliance, and manufacturability.

**Responsibilities**
- Collaborate with engineers or other design professionals to understand project requirements and specifications.
- Interpret sketches, notes, and engineering calculations to create detailed technical drawings using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD).
- Prepare a variety of drawings, including mechanical assemblies, general production drawings, general fabrication drawings or other project-specific drawings.
- Ensure drawings adhere to industry standards & engineering principles.
- Conduct calculations to determine dimensions, weight limitations, and material requirements.
- Identify and communicate potential design issues or areas for improvement to the design team.
- Revise and update drawings based on feedback from engineers, production team or other stakeholders.
- Maintain a well-organized electronic archive of drawings and project documents.
- May assist in creating presentations or other visual aids to communicate design concepts.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest CAD software advancements and industry best practices.

**Qualifications**
- Associate's degree in Drafting Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) with experience in creating 2D drawings.
- Strong understanding of drafting principles, geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Excellent math skills with a strong foundation in geometry and trigonometry.
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with engineers and other design professionals.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Prior experience in Drawings of Production Parts a plus (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Unit).

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
