**Google Workspace/API Integration for early stage SaaS Platform development**

**Job Description**:
We are a dynamic startup developing a SaaS, venture-assessment-as-a-service platform. As we prepare for the next phase of our project, we are looking for a talented developer to help us create a one-time integration with Google Workspace (followed by a series of other systems, for example, Slack, Xero, QuickBooks, MYOB, HubSpot, SalesForce).
Our initial goal is to enable our users to connect their company's Google Workspace accounts to our platform, allowing us to perform a data ingestion from their Google tools (e.g. Gmail and Google Calendar). Because of the sensitive nature of such data, the developer needs to be proficient in the latest security and data handling best practices. Additionally, a deep understanding of access controls and user permissions within the context of Google Workspace is crucial to ensure that only authorised individuals can interact with and access the integrated data.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop a one-time Google Workspace integration for data ingestion (then other APIs).
- Create a secure and user-friendly authentication process for users to connect their Google Workspace accounts.
- Include comprehensive code documentation (docstrings, inline comments) to explain the purpose and functionality of key code segments.
- Implement error handling and provide clear error messages for any issues that may arise during data retrieval.

Requirements: Software Engineer
- Proficiency in web development and API integrations.
- Experience with Google Workspace APIs (and other systems, as listed). - Strong knowledge of data security and privacy best practices.
- Familiarity with OAuth2 authentication and user consent flows.
- Ability to write clean and maintainable code.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with SaaS platforms and financial services is a plus.
