**DESCRIPTION**
**Job Summary**
**Key Responsibilities** **Technical Execution & Troubleshooting**
- Design, implement, and troubleshoot control systems using **Siemens TIA Portal**, **Schmersal Safety PLC**, and **servo drives**.
- Perform diagnostics and maintenance on **ABB, Yaskawa, and Fanuc robots**.
- Use **Robot Studio** for simulation and programming.
- Conduct robot teaching, breakdown analysis, and preventive maintenance.
- Integrate robotic systems with automation equipment such as conveyors, vision systems, and PLCs.
**Safety & Compliance**
- Understand and comply with **ISO**, **ANSI/RIA**, and other safety standards related to robotics and automation.
- Promote a proactive safety culture and report hazards or incidents promptly.
**Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement**
- Use **Why-Why analysis** and other problem-solving techniques to resolve issues.
- Support equipment uptime and downtime failure analysis.
- Participate in TPM and continuous improvement activities.
**Collaboration & Support**
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and support staff.
- Assist in training and development of junior technicians.
- Maintain clean and orderly work areas and service tools.
- Travel to customer sites for support and troubleshooting as needed.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
**Qualifications**
- High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education.
- Vocational diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or Automation (preferred).
- May require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
**Skills and Experience**
**Required**:
- 1-2 years of hands-on experience in control systems and robotics.
- Proficiency in **Siemens TIA Portal**, **servo drives**, and **robotic systems** (ABB, Yaskawa, Fanuc).
- Knowledge of **automation integration**, **machine safety**, and **industrial standards**.
- Strong logic-building and troubleshooting skills.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites and work in a manufacturing environment.
**Preferred**:
- Experience with **Robot Studio** and robotic programming.
- Familiarity with **Schmersal Safety PLCs** and safety system design.
- Exposure to cost optimization and process improvement initiatives.
