Overview

Responsible for the organization and transportation of all materials in an optimal manner by reducing the costs and deadlines and by respecting internal procedures, client preferences and customs regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

- Receive all shipment/transportation requests and organize transport in relation to the priority and availability of material from manufacturing.
- Receive all packing and equipment lists for order fulfillment and verify information is complete and correct.
- Make transportation request and organize shipment of material; ensure details are complete, follow shipment and send claim in case of a problem.
- Prepare all documents and assist in making request for certificate of origin and assist in sending appropriate documents to correct parties.
- Assist with invoicing process from initiation process; forward to appropriate parties for approval and analyze charges.
- Assist with contacting potential partners, comparing the costs and deadlines, handling negotiations and selecting appropriate partners depending on destination and based on the packing list and invoice.
- Assist in making requests for customs documents, handle all customs formalities at product and equipment receipt and answer costing requests.
- Keep records of carriers/transportation companies and ensure accurate and appropriate filing.
- Assist with handling express mail every day for all departments.

Experience
- Zero (0) to three (3) years of logistics and transport experience using powered industrial vehicles.
- Zero (0) to three (3) years of customer service experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to use powered industrial vehicles.
