Job Description: Metal Fabrication Supervisor (Gates and Railings Specialist)

**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities:Supervision & Team Management**:

- Lead and manage a team of welders, fabricators, and technicians to ensure smooth operations.
- Delegate tasks effectively and monitor team performance.
- Provide training and mentorship to team members to improve skills and productivity.

**Fabrication & Technical Oversight**:

- Plan and oversee the fabrication of gates, railings, and other metal products according to project specifications.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD designs to guide production processes.
- Ensure proper use of tools, machines, and materials to maintain high-quality outputs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical or material-related issues during fabrication.

**Quality Assurance**:

- Inspect completed products to ensure they meet company and client quality standards.
- Maintain a high standard of precision, craftsmanship, and finish for all projects.
- Suggest process improvements to enhance product quality and efficiency.

**Production Planning & Coordination**:

- Collaborate with project managers, designers, and clients to align production schedules with project deadlines.
- Manage inventory of raw materials, tools, and supplies to prevent delays.
- Ensure that projects stay within budget and meet delivery timelines.

**Health & Safety Compliance**:

- Enforce workplace safety standards and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and implement corrective actions as needed.

**Reporting & Documentation**:

- Maintain accurate records of production schedules, inventory, and team performance.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on production status and challenges.

**Qualifications**:

- **Experience**: Minimum 5+ years in metal fabrication, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- **Technical Knowledge**:

- Proficiency in fabrication techniques (welding, cutting, grinding, etc.).
- Strong understanding of materials (iron, steel, aluminum, etc.) and finishes used in gates and railings.
- Familiarity with modern tools, machinery, and safety equipment.
- **Education**: Diploma or certification in mechanical engineering, metal fabrication, or a related field preferred.
- **Skills**:

- Leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.

**Key Competencies**:

- Attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate effectively with teams and clients.
