As a Networking Technician, you would be responsible for setting up and maintaining computer networks within an organization. One of the key skills that you should possess is fiber splicing and troubleshooting, as this is a crucial aspect of network installation and maintenance.

In addition to fiber splicing, you should also have a strong understanding of networking and troubleshooting, which will enable you to quickly identify and resolve any issues that may arise within the network. This skill set is essential for ensuring that the network remains operational and efficient at all times.

Another skill that would be beneficial to have as a Networking Technician is CCTV installation and maintenance.

You should also possess strong customer interaction skills, as you will be working closely with clients to determine their network requirements and provide solutions that meet their needs. This requires excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with clients to achieve their objectives.

Furthermore, you should have experience in site surveying and quote preparation in an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system. This skill set is essential for accurately estimating project costs, ensuring that projects are completed within budget, and providing clients with accurate quotes that reflect their specific requirements.

Finally, as a Networking Technician, you may be responsible for supervising manpower and leading projects. This requires strong leadership and project management skills, as well as the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve project goals.
