**What you will be doing**

Sitting at the intersection of business and technology, the business analyst works closely with developers, QA, UX designers and users to innovate, conceptualize, design and pilot new capabilities to simplify our clients’ business problems.

The individual will be an active participant in all the phases of product lifecycle and will work closely with people at various levels to ensure business requirements are understood, designed, developed & documented.

The business analyst job also includes ensuring that the product supports the company's overall strategy and goals

General duties & responsibilities
- As a business analyst work with Product owner/product manager to finalize business requirements for new features
- Work closely with scrum team members to breakdown the requirements to small testable user stories in planning and lead grooming sessions
- Attend various scrum ceremonies and design discussions as part of scrum team
- Work closely with product management team to plan priorities for product releases
- Work closely with scrum masters to plan priorities for development sprints
- Work with client facing teams to discuss defects reported by clients
- Work on business requirement documents
- Train the team on upcoming features and new industry developments
- Act as a point of contact between product management and Dev/QA

**What you bring**:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- A minimum of 8+ years of proven experience in hedge funds operations/fund accounting role
- Knowledge of Fixed income securities, swaps, MBS, Bank debt securities Knowledge of VPM/Geneva/Genesis/Nexus or any other middle/back office/front office solutions used by hedge funds Knowledge of end-to-end trade life cycle like trade booking, accounting, NAV calculations, portfolio, and accounting reports
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent teamwork skills
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority Ability to analyze and document complex business processes, think analytically and adept at problem solving, and to gather and interpret relevant data and information.
- Demonstrated ability to function as a team player who is willing to “roll up their sleeves” and make sure the job gets done
- High energy, highly analytical and results-oriented Strong project management and organizational skills required
