Business Operations Analyst

The role of Business Operations Analyst is to ensure the smooth functioning of business operations.

  • Gather and analyze data to identify areas for improvement in business processes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to document functional and technical requirements for system enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze hedge fund accounting workflows, including NAV calculation, trade capture, cash/position reconciliations, performance fees, and investor allocations.
  • Work closely with technology teams to enhance fund accounting platforms.
  • Identify areas for improvement, streamline reconciliations, automate manual processes, and enhance data integrity.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of hedge fund accounting concepts, including NAV, accruals, P&L attribution, fee structures, side pockets, and share classes.
  • Prior experience with fund administration systems, such as Geneva, Investran, Advent, or equivalent, is essential.
  • Utilize business analysis skills to gather requirements, model processes, conduct UAT, and create detailed documentation.
  • A thorough understanding of financial instruments, including equities, fixed income, derivatives (swaps, options, futures, FX), is required.
  • Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and reporting tools for data analysis is necessary.

Bachelor's Degree Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in fund accounting, financial services, or a related industry.
