Area Sales Executive

The Area Sales Executive will be responsible for managing and developing sales activities within a designated geographic area to achieve business growth and meet sales targets. This role requires a proactive individual with strong interpersonal skills, the ability to identify sales opportunities, and the drive to build relationships with customers.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Sales Development**:
- Identify new business opportunities and potential customers within the assigned territory.
- Actively generate leads through market research, cold calling, networking, and referrals.
- Develop and execute a sales plan to achieve set sales targets and KPIs.
- Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to prospective clients.
- **Customer Relationship Management**:
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients, distributors, and partners.
- Regularly visit existing customers to ensure satisfaction and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling products/services.
- Address customer inquiries, issues, and complaints promptly to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
- **Market Analysis & Reporting**:
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to stay informed of industry developments.
- Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to the Sales Manager, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement.
- Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and potential challenges.
- **Negotiation & Closing**:
- Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts with customers while maintaining profitability for the company.
- Close deals effectively, ensuring all contractual obligations are met and orders are processed smoothly.
- **Product Knowledge & Training**:
- Keep up to date with product knowledge and industry trends to effectively communicate product benefits and features to customers.
- Provide feedback from customers to the product development and marketing teams to improve offerings.
- **Sales Targets & Performance**:
- Meet and exceed sales targets set by the company.
- Monitor and track individual sales performance against objectives, taking corrective action as necessary.
- Participate in regular sales meetings and training sessions to continually improve sales techniques.
**Required Skills & Qualifications**:
- **Experience**:
- Proven experience as a Sales Executive or in a similar sales role, preferably in [industry, e.g., FMCG, specially in Bakery products].
- Experience in managing and developing customer relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
- **Skills**:
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong presentation and persuasion abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to address customer concerns.
- **Education**:
- A bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- **Other Requirements**:
- Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.).
