**Responsibilities**:

- Shape the proposal story
- Assess technical approaches, integrate win themes, and balance technical, risk, and marketing communications content
- Write substantive content and copy edit with the ability to maximize effectiveness under tight deadlines
- Effectively review potential reuse narrative, boilerplate, and competitor research materials relevant to the writing assignments
- Competently ensure information gathered by the Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) is accurate through reiterative in-process reviews
- Consistently ensure that the response is compliant with RFP requirements, satisfies formatting rules, and submission mandates
- Regularly achieve customer focus by integrating win strategy, theme statements, emphasis techniques and other industry recognized best practices
- Diligently manage document versioning and control
- Work closely with others including other writers, sales, finance, engineering, and key executives

**Required Skills**:

- Seven plus years of professional experience in proposal writing (leading others a plus)
- Experience developing general solution approaches, frameworks, staffing models, accompanying templates, graphical frameworks and more
- Experience managing proposals for commercial, and multiple state and local governments, as well as federal
- Attention to detail even in a high pressure, fast moving environment
- An eye for shaping the proposal story: assessing technical approaches, integrating win themes, and balancing technical, risk, and marketing communications content
- Substantive and copyediting talent, with ability to maximize effectiveness under tight deadlines
- Expert-level knowledge of Google Apps and Microsoft Office
- Adobe Creative Suite
