**Job Designation**: Quantity Surveyor**

**Cost Estimation**: Prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects, considering materials, labor, equipment, and other relevant factors.

**Budget Management**: Monitor project budgets throughout the construction process, identifying potential cost overruns and implementing cost control measures to keep expenses in check.

**Quantity Takeoff**: Conduct detailed quantity take-offs from architectural and engineering drawings to determine the quantities of materials required for construction.

**Procurement Support**: Assist in the procurement process by preparing tender documents, evaluating bids, and negotiating contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.

**Billing and Invoicing**: Prepare interim and final billing invoices based on work completed, ensuring that invoices are accurate and submitted in a timely manner.

**Variation Analysis**: Analyze variations and change orders to assess their impact on project costs and schedule and prepare necessary documentation for approval and billing purposes.

**Cost Reporting**: Generate regular cost reports and financial forecasts to keep project stakeholders informed about budget performance and potential risks.

**Contract Administration**: Administer contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and conditions.

**Claims Management**: Handle claims and disputes related to cost and payment issues, working towards amicable resolutions while protecting the interests of the project.

**Documentation**: Maintain comprehensive records of project costs, payments, and related documentation for audit and reference purposes.

**Job Specifications**:
**Education**: Diploma or bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

**Experience**: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in quantity surveying and billing engineering roles within the construction and interior industry.

**Technical Skills**: Proficiency in cost estimation techniques, quantity takeoff software (e.g., Bluebeam, CostX), and billing software (e.g., QuickBooks, Oracle Primavera).

**Knowledge**: Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes/regulations. Familiarity with standard forms of construction contracts (e.g., FIDIC, NEC) and their implications on cost management.

**Analytical Skills**: Ability to analyze complex data, identify cost trends, and forecast future project costs accurately.

**Communication**: Excellent communication and negotiation skills to liaise with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and internal teams.

**Attention to Detail**: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in cost calculations, billing invoices, and contract.
