As a Continental Commis Chef, you will be an integral part of our kitchen team, supporting the preparation and service of high-quality continental dishes. This role requires a passionate and dedicated individual who is eager to learn and grow in a professional kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- **Food Preparation**:

- Assist in the preparation and cooking of continental dishes as directed by the Head Chef or Sous Chef.
- Prepare ingredients by chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and performing other basic food preparation tasks.
- Ensure that food preparation areas are clean, tidy, and comply with health and safety standards.
- **Cooking**:

- Follow recipes and presentation specifications as directed.
- Cook and present dishes according to the restaurant’s standards and specifications.
- Assist in managing the consistency and quality of dishes served.
- **Kitchen Operations**:

- Support the kitchen team in all aspects of kitchen operations, including stock control and inventory management.
- Assist in the daily cleaning of the kitchen and service areas to maintain the highest hygiene standards.
- Ensure proper storage and rotation of food items to minimize waste.
- **Collaboration and Learning**:

- Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations.
- Participate in training and development activities to improve cooking skills and knowledge.
- Take direction from senior chefs and be proactive in learning new techniques and recipes.
- **Compliance and Safety**:

- Adhere to all food safety regulations and best practices.
- Follow health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Report any maintenance or operational issues to the Head Chef or Sous Chef.

Qualifications:

- **Education**: A culinary school diploma or equivalent certification in culinary arts is preferred.
- **Experience**: Previous experience in a professional kitchen, particularly in continental cuisine, is an advantage but not mandatory.
- **Skills**:

- Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- **Personal Attributes**:
