**Job description**
Give Me Trees Trust is one of the largest community based voluntary tree planting and conservation movements in India, having facilitated the plantation and preservation of more than 23 million trees all over the country in the last 45 years, with more than 17,000+ volunteers working all across India, seeks dynamic and motivated professional with relevant experience
**Duties & Responsibilities**:
Position: Purchase and Procurement Officer
**Plan Purchases**
- Collaborate with team members to identify and plan procurement needs
- Forecast future requirements based on project timelines
**Vendor Management**
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and other relevant criteria
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure advantageous terms
**Purchasing**
- Issue purchase orders and ensure proper documentation of procurement activities
- Monitor order status and expedite deliveries to meet project timelines
- Ensure compliance with organizational and donor procurement policies and procedures
**Inventory Management**
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the logistics team to manage inventory effectively
**Quality Assurance**
- Conduct inspections and quality control checks on received goods
- Handle and resolve any issues or discrepancies with suppliers
**Compliance and Reporting**
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with applicable laws and regulations
- Prepare and submit regular procurement reports to management and donors
- Maintain transparency and accountability in all procurement processes
**Education**
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A relevant professional certification (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is a plus
**Experience**
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in procurement, preferably within an NGO or non-profit organization
- Demonstrated experience in vendor negotiation and contract management
**Skills and Competencies**
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High level of integrity and commitment to ethical procurement practices
**Other Requirement**
- Familiarity with donor regulations and compliance requirements
- Ability to travel to project sites and supplier locations as needed
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
