The Storage & Backup Administrator is responsible for managing all centralized storage technologies, Backup Infrastructure and backup technologies.

**What will your job look like?**:

- Managing and monitoring the day to day storage administration tasks & working on Incidents.
- Administration of CISCO & BROCADE SAN switches, troubleshooting and work on maintenance issues.
- Managing day-to-day storage break/fix by coordinating with vendor and DC team.
- Collaborate & share ideas for automating the storage administration tasks.
- Create/Develop storage self service/automation using storage API, VMware vRA/vRO, programing language/scripts.
- Troubleshooting SAN storage related Incidents and coordinating with vendor to resolve the issues.
- Responsible for planning, co-ordination, execution of tasks related to firmware/code upgrade of storages & switches.
- Responsible for planning, co-ordination, execution of storage projects, highlighting the showstoppers & escalating at the right time.
- Storage migration using storage based and host based migration methods.
- SAN switch port migration - verifying the multipath, coordinating with relevant system admins, DC team.
- Coordinate with multiple teams for new HW installation & configuration.
- Work on new storage POC and prepare report.
- Collaborate and share knowledge with other administrators.

**All you need is...**:

- **Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree with 3-6 years of work experience.
- Storage Administration of atleast one of the enterprise storage - Hitachi VSP, Infinidat Infinibox, Dell EMC XtremIO, Powerstore, HPE Nimble, IBM A9000.
- Administration of BROCADE and CISCO SAN switches. Knowledge of Director class switches, NPIV.
- Scripting/Programing experience - python, UNIX shell, powershell.
- **Required skill/experience**:

- Storage Administration of atleast one of the enterprise storage - Hitachi VSP, Infinidat Infinibox
- Administration of flash storage - EMC XtremIO, Powerstore, HPE Nimble, IBM A9000
- Administration of BROCADE and CISCO SAN switches. Knowledge of Director class switches, NPIV.
- Administration of NAS - EMC VNX, Isilon, replication & DR.
- Scripting experience - python, UNIX shell, powershell
- Automation experience with storage APIs. Knowledge of Vmware vRO, vRA.
- Sound knowledge of Vmware Vcenter for vmotion, multipath verification, monitoring events and work upon events related to storage.
- Sound knowledge of UNIX with working knowledge of disk group, multipath.
- Knowledge on performance monitoring, IOPS and disk drive types.
- Experience with storage migration activities using host based logical volume mirroring and storage based migration method.
- Ability to work and lead project independently.
- Coordinate with multiple teams and Change management for changes to be done in the infrastructure.
- Coordinate with vendor for break/fix issue and new HW installation.
- Expertise to work effectively as part of a team and able to guide fellow team members through initiative and active participation.
