Job Title:Backup Specialist OR Storage Specialist

Job Description:

Backup Specialist:

One resource with 8 years of experience, including strong knowledge of Dell PPDM and DataDomain, and familiarity with PPDM architecture.

One resource with 3 years of experience, with awareness of backup technologies and hands-on experience in managing backup failures and ticketing.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and troubleshoot backup environments across multiple data centers.

Address and resolve 500600 backup failure tickets manually.

Ensure backup integrity and optimize backup processes.

Work with tools including:

ؠDell PPDM / DataDomain

ؠOracle ZFS

ؠIBM TSM

Storage Specialist:

One resource with 8 years of experience in Hitachi storage systems, including VSP5600, F-700, and F-900 series.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform cleanup and optimization across a complex landscape of storage technologies.

Provide support and maintenance for:

ؠHitachi VSP-5600 (12PB, 6 units)

ؠHP 3PAR (8400, 8440, 9450 4PB, 12 units)

ؠNetApp AFF & FAS (1.5PB, 2 units)

ؠIBM 9500, 9200, 7200 (6PB, 12 units)

ؠScality (15PB, 33 units)

ؠBrocade G-720, 6520, X6-4 (122 units total)

ؠSupport both IT and NAS environments.

Skills Required:

Strong understanding of enterprise backup and storage technologies.

Experience with manual ticket creation and resolution.

Familiarity with multi-vendor storage environments.

Ability to perform storage optimization and cleanup.

Excellent troubleshooting and documentation skills.
