**Job Summary**:
The Pan Asian Chef - CDP (Chef de Partie) is responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality dishes in the Pan Asian cuisine section of a fine-dining establishment. This role demands a passion for authentic Asian flavors, strong technical skills, and the ability to maintain the highest culinary standards. The CDP will collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure consistency, creativity, and excellence in every dish served.
**Key Responsibilities**:Food Preparation & Presentation**
- Prepare, cook, and present Pan Asian dishes, including Japanese, Thai, Chinese, Korean, and other Asian cuisines, as per restaurant standards.
- Ensure all dishes are prepared to perfection with a focus on flavor, texture, and presentation.
- Maintain consistency in portion sizes and plating for all menu items.
**Kitchen Operations**
- Assist the Sous Chef in managing the Pan Asian section of the kitchen.
- Ensure all mise en place is completed before service begins.
- Monitor stock levels and communicate supply needs to the Sous Chef or Head Chef.
- Adhere to kitchen guidelines, recipes, and portion controls to minimize waste.
**Team Collaboration**
- Work closely with other sections of the kitchen to ensure smooth operations during service.
- Provide guidance and training to junior chefs and kitchen staff in the Pan Asian section.
- Foster a team-oriented and respectful working environment.
**Quality & Hygiene Standards**
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards in the kitchen.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including equipment and utensils.
- Regularly inspect ingredients to ensure freshness and quality.
**Menu Development**
- Assist in developing and refining Pan Asian menu items, incorporating seasonal and local ingredients where possible.
- Experiment with new techniques and dishes to enhance the menu offering.
- Provide input on creating specialty menus for events and promotions.
**Qualifications**:
- Certification in Culinary Arts or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in Pan Asian cuisine, preferably in a fine-dining setting.
- Strong knowledge of Pan Asian culinary techniques, ingredients, and presentation styles.
- Exceptional knife skills and mastery of Asian cooking equipment (e.g., woks, steamers, sushi tools).
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
**Preferred Skills**:
- Expertise in specific cuisines such as Japanese (sushi/sashimi), Thai (curries), or Chinese (dim sum).
- Knowledge of dietary preferences and allergen management (e.g., gluten-free, vegetarian options).
- Creativity in fusing traditional Asian flavors with contemporary fine-dining trends.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
