**Your Role and Responsibilities**
- Administer databases running on RAC in Exadata environments.- Adopt and learn new cloud technologies for use in Watson Health solutions.
- Automate Manual Tasks
- Documentation of work

**Required Technical and Professional Expertise**
- About 5-7 Yrs Relevant Experience as a DBA
- Knowledge & experience in 11g/12c databases on unix platform - Architecture, Configuration, Administration and Maintenance
- Good knowledge of problem solving / performance tuning and be able to respond to address high severity incidents
- Should be able to use Oracle tools like AWR, ADDM, ASH
- Good knowledge in database backup (RMAN), restore and recovery
- Knowledge & experience in database upgrades and patching
- Work experience on Unix platform is mandatory
- Good knowledge and some practical experience of support on Oracle RAC environment preferable
- Familiarity with Autosys, Scripting / Automation would be an added advantage

**Preferred Technical and Professional Experience**
- Good communication skills. Be able to interact with customer
- Be able to independently handle day-to-day database issues & it would be an added advantage if the person can handle Major Incident calls
- Willing to work in 24x7 support environment with shift support
