You will be working as Buyer and will be part of Electrification business area for Smart Power division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Production Manager and will be responsible for purchasing materials according to required technical specification, price, delivery schedule and terms. Ensuring purchasing activities align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Determining the required materials and possibly generating purchase orders, ensuring materials meet specifications, quality standards and are cost-efficient
- Scheduling the supply of materials or components to meet production requirements and minimum safety stock levels
- Developing, implementing and evaluating processes for material delivery from supplier to point of fit
- Understanding and managing risks to minimize impact on production schedule
- Implementing all processes to agreed standards, targets and supporting continuous improvement initiatives and identifying areas of improvement
- Utilizing any Material Requirements Planning system (MRP) or IT system that is in place and ensuring that data is accurate and up to date

**Your background**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement and logistics
- Basic understanding of the types of goods to be purchased
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
