You will be working as Buyer and will be reporting to Procurement Manager and will be part of Motion Business for Drive Products division, based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be responsible for purchasing materials according to required technical specifications, price, delivery schedule, and terms. Ensuring purchasing activities align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Identifying new suppliers in cooperation with relevant category team and qualifying new suppliers in cooperation with supplier quality and engineering specialists
- Negotiating agreements with main suppliers, and periodically renews pricelists, terms and conditions
- Adapting corporate contractual framework to the local business needs and recommending frame agreements to management and executes upon approval
- Supporting bid and proposal teams by providing relevant market information and tracking goods received to verify appropriate delivery and ensure invoice processing
- Aligning supplier orders with customer requirements (based on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)/project requirements) in terms of content, quality, delivery, sustainability and price
- Executing purchasing and logistics strategies to support the business by optimizing costs, quality and reliability of suppliers and supplied products
- Designing and implementing plans and effective strategies for local sourcing of products/materials to reach business targets

**Your background**:

- Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering
- Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in direct material purchase and relevant experience in Supply chain
- Mush have knowledge on SAP, Excel reports, Power BI, SCM process, Planning, Vendor management and Negotiation skills
- A strong focus on safe work practices and dedication to following all relevant workplace safety guidelines
- A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills
