**Position Overview**:
The fashion coordinator for a tailoring retail shop specializes in assisting customers in choosing fabrics, styles, and trends to create customized clothing. They play a crucial role in providing personalized fashion advice, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining the shop's reputation for high-quality tailoring services. The fashion coordinator collaborates closely with customers, tailors, and other staff members to create exceptional custom garments that meet the unique preferences and requirements of each client.

**Key Roles & Responsibilities**:
1. Customer Consultation: Engage with customers to understand their style preferences, garment requirements, and occasion
- specific needs. Provide expert guidance on fabric selection, color combinations, styling options, and current fashion trends to help customers make informed decisions.

2. Fabric and Material Selection: Assist customers in choosing the right fabrics, materials, and accessories for their garments.
Provide detailed information about the quality, durability, and maintenance requirements of different fabrics to ensure customer satisfaction.

3. Style and Design Recommendations: Offer creative and personalized style recommendations based on the customer's body type, personal preferences, and occasion. Stay up-to-date with the latest fashion trends, tailoring techniques, and design elements to provide innovative ideas to customers.

4. Measurements and Fittings: Take accurate measurements of customers using professional techniques. Coordinate fittings and alterations to ensure proper fit and customer satisfaction throughout the tailoring process. Collaborate closely with the tailors to convey specific customer requirements and ensure precise execution.

5. Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, establishing trust and loyalty.
Follow up with customers on the progress of their orders, provide updates on timelines, and address any concerns or inquiries promptly.

6. Visual Merchandising: Assist in the presentation and display of fabric samples, garment samples, and accessories to create an inviting and visually appealing shopping environment. Ensure that the shop's displays and product arrangements reflect the latest fashion trends and showcase the range of tailoring options available.

7. Trend Analysis and Research: Stay updated on current fashion trends, style influences, and emerging tailoring techniques.
Conduct regular research on fabrics, colors, patterns, and design elements to provide customers with the most up-to-date fashion insights.

8. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with tailors, seamstresses, and other staff members to ensure effective communication and smooth workflow throughout the tailoring process. Collaborate with the sales team to align customer preferences with the available tailoring options.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Merchandising, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Previous experience in a fashion-related role, preferably with a focus on tailoring or custom clothing.
- Strong knowledge of fabrics, garment construction, and fashion trends.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
- Detail-oriented with a keen eye for color, style, and fit.
- Ability to provide personalized fashion advice based on customer preferences and body types.
- Proficiency in measurements and fitting techniques.
- Familiarity with tailoring processes and alterations.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing customer demands and work in a fast-paced environment.
