**Job Title**: Pastry Chef - Commis II
**Location**: South Mumbai

**Reports To**: Pastry Chef de Partie / Sous Chef
**Employment Type**: Full-time
**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Assist senior pastry chefs in the preparation and presentation of desserts, pastries, breads, and other baked items.
- Follow standard recipes and instructions with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Maintain high levels of hygiene and cleanliness in the pastry kitchen in line with FSSAI and HACCP standards.
- Ensure proper storage, labelling, and rotation of all pastry items and ingredients.
- Support mise en place and day-to-day prep for service.
- Assist in the creation of new dessert concepts and trial runs as guided by the Pastry Chef.
- Uphold the restaurant's standards of quality, presentation, and consistency.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team and contribute to a positive, professional work environment.
**Requirements**:
- 1-2 years of experience in pastry or bakery section, preferably in a fine-dining or luxury hotel setting.
- Formal training in pastry or bakery from a recognized culinary institute is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of pastry fundamentals, including doughs, mousses, tarts, sauces, and plating techniques.
- Passion for pastry arts and willingness to learn and grow under the guidance of experienced chefs.
- Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and follow instructions accurately.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.
