**Job Summary**:
The Payroll Executive in the Finance Department is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of employee payroll, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and statutory requirements. This role involves preparing payroll calculations, processing payments, managing employee benefits, and preparing financial reports related to payroll. The Payroll Executive will collaborate closely with the HR and finance teams to maintain accurate payroll records and resolve any discrepancies or issues that arise.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Payroll Processing**:

- Calculate and process the monthly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy in wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions.
- Ensure timely and accurate disbursement of employee salaries through direct deposits or checks.
- Process new hires, terminations, promotions, and pay adjustments within the payroll system.
- Review and verify employee attendance, leaves, and absences to ensure correct payroll calculations.
- **Statutory and Compliance Requirements**:

- Ensure accurate computation and timely payment of statutory deductions such as Provident Fund (PF), Tax Deducted at Source (TDS), Gratuity, and other employee benefits.
- Prepare and file statutory returns, including tax filings and employee benefit contributions.
- Ensure adherence to local, state, and national payroll laws and tax regulations.
- Stay up to date with payroll-related laws, amendments, and regulations.
- **Reporting & Financial Reconciliation**:

- Generate and prepare detailed payroll reports for internal stakeholders, including finance and HR departments.
- Provide payroll-related data to finance for month-end closing and reconciliation of accounts.
- Ensure the accurate posting of payroll data in the financial system, including expense allocation and cost centres.
- Assist in preparing financial statements and reports related to payroll expenses.
- **Employee Support & Query Resolution**:

- Act as the first point of contact for employees regarding payroll-related queries, including payslip explanations, deductions, and benefit calculations.
- Investigate and resolve any payroll discrepancies, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication with employees.
- Provide support during payroll audits and help prepare necessary documentation.
- **Systems & Data Management**:

- Ensure the integrity and accuracy of payroll data in the payroll system and financial records.
- Maintain and update employee payroll records, including compensation, deductions, and leave balances.
- Implement payroll automation and enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy in payroll processing.
- **Payroll Audits & Internal Controls**:

- Assist in internal and external payroll audits, providing necessary documentation and reports.
- Implement and monitor internal controls to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
- **Collaboration**:

- Work closely with the HR department to ensure proper handling of employee benefits, including healthcare, insurance, and retirement benefits.
- Coordinate with the finance team to ensure the payroll budget aligns with organizational financial goals.
- Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure smooth payroll processing and resolution of payroll-related issues.

**Required Qualifications**:

- **Education**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certification in payroll (e.g., CPP, CIPP) is a plus.
- CA Aspirant
- **Experience**:

- At least 2-3 years of experience in payroll processing, preferably in a finance or accounting environment.
- Knowledge of payroll software (e.g., ADP, QuickBooks, SAP).
- Familiarity with accounting and finance practices related to payroll.
- **Skills**:

- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong knowledge of payroll taxes, employee benefits, and statutory deductions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office software.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
