**Job Description**:
As a Construction Lawyer at Konbil Landmark, you will play a pivotal role in providing legal guidance and support throughout all stages of construction projects. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Legal Compliance: Ensure that all construction activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and contractual obligations. Review contracts, permits, and other legal documents to identify potential risks and ensure legal compliance.
2. Contract Negotiation and Drafting: Negotiate, draft, and review construction contracts, including agreements with subcontractors, vendors, clients, and other stakeholders. Ensure that contracts accurately reflect the interests of the company and mitigate potential legal risks.
3. Dispute Resolution: Manage construction-related disputes, including claims, litigation, arbitration, and mediation. Work closely with internal stakeholders, external legal counsel, and other parties to resolve disputes efficiently and effectively.
4. Risk Management: Identify and assess legal risks associated with construction projects and develop strategies to mitigate those risks. Provide proactive legal advice to project teams to minimize exposure to legal liabilities.
5. Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of changes in construction laws, regulations, and industry standards. Advise internal stakeholders on compliance requirements and implement procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.
6. Legal Support: Provide legal support and guidance to various departments within the company, including project management, procurement, finance, and risk management. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address legal issues and achieve project objectives.
7. Due Diligence: Conduct legal due diligence for potential construction projects, acquisitions, and partnerships. Assess legal risks and liabilities associated with new ventures and provide recommendations to senior management.
8. Training and Education: Develop and deliver training programs on construction law, contract management, and risk mitigation strategies. Educate project teams and other stakeholders on legal best practices and compliance requirements.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
- Minimum 5 years of experience practicing construction law, preferably with a focus on commercial projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction law, contracts, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage construction-related disputes and legal matters.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Prior experience in a construction firm or real estate development company is preferred.
- Familiarity with construction industry practices, standards, and terminology.
**Salary**: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
