Job Description: Production Engineer/Shift Supervisors/ Team Leader - Plastic Injection Molding

Job Title: Production Engineer/Shift Supervisor - 2 Positions

Department: Manufacturing/Production - Plastic Injection Molding

Location: MIDC Waluj

Reports To: Production Manager/Plant Head

Job Summary:
The Production Engineer in a plastic injection molding unit is responsible for overseeing the manufacturing process, ensuring

efficiency, quality, and safety. They coordinate machine operations, troubleshoot technical issues, and implement process

improvements to optimize productivity and reduce downtime.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Production Management:

- Oversee daily operations of injection molding machines.
- Plan, schedule, and monitor production to meet targets.
- Optimize cycle times and minimize material wastage.

2. Process Improvement:

- Analyze production processes and implement improvements for efficiency.
- Optimize mold changeover and setup time reduction.
- Implement lean manufacturing and 5S practices.

3. Quality Control:

- Ensure products meet quality standards and customer specifications.
- Conduct root cause analysis for defects and implement corrective actions.
- Work with the quality team to maintain ISO standards and compliance.

4. Machine Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

- Ensure regular maintenance of injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
- Identify and troubleshoot technical issues related to molding defects, process deviations, and machine performance.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team for preventive and predictive maintenance.

5. Material & Resource Management:

- Monitor raw material usage and reduce scrap rates.
- Coordinate with the procurement team for material requirements.

6. Safety & Compliance:

- Ensure workplace safety and compliance with industry regulations.
- Train operators on safe machine handling and emergency protocols.

7. Documentation & Reporting:

- Maintain production records, process parameters, and downtime logs.
- Prepare reports on production efficiency, defects, and cost-saving initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

- Education: Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Mechanical, Industrial, or Plastics Engineering /Cipet - PGD-PPT /DPT
- Experience: 2-5 years of experience in injection molding production.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of injection molding machines, mold setup, process optimization, and troubleshooting.
- Software Knowledge: Exposure to ERP systems, AutoCAD, and process control software is a plus.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and team management skills.
