**Job Summary**:
The Chocolatier is a skilled artisan responsible for creating high-quality chocolates and confections. This role involves the preparation, crafting, and decoration of chocolates, truffles, bonbons, and other chocolate-based desserts. The Chocolatier works closely with the culinary team to develop new chocolate-based products and ensures that all chocolate items meet high standards of quality, taste, and presentation.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Chocolate Preparation & Production**:

- Prepare and craft a variety of chocolates, including truffles, pralines, bonbons, and molded chocolate products, following established recipes and techniques.
- Temper chocolate to achieve the desired texture and shine, ensuring smooth, consistent results in finished products.
- Experiment with new chocolate formulations, incorporating different flavors, textures, and fillings as needed.
- Manage the molding, cutting, and shaping of chocolate to create visually appealing products.
- **Product Development & Innovation**:

- Collaborate with the Executive Chef or Pastry Chef to develop seasonal or special chocolate products for events, holidays, and menus.
- Stay current with chocolate trends and innovations in the industry to bring fresh ideas to the production of chocolates and desserts.
- Experiment with new ingredients, flavors, and chocolate techniques to create unique offerings.
- **Quality Control**:

- Ensure that all chocolate products meet high-quality standards for taste, appearance, and consistency.
- Regularly inspect and assess finished products to ensure proper texture, color, and uniformity.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, following food safety and sanitation standards.
- **Inventory and Supplies Management**:

- Monitor inventory of chocolate, ingredients, and other supplies required for production, ensuring timely reordering of items.
- Handle chocolate and ingredients with care, ensuring they are stored properly to maintain their quality.
- Maintain accurate records of production and materials used, reporting any discrepancies or shortages to the supervisor.
- **Customer Service & Presentation**:

- Assist in the packaging and presentation of chocolates for retail or customer orders.
- Work with the marketing team to create attractive displays for chocolates and confections.
- Assist with customer inquiries, particularly in a retail setting, by providing recommendations on chocolate products and related goods.
- **Team Collaboration**:

- Work closely with other kitchen and pastry staff to ensure smooth workflow and production during busy periods.
- Mentor junior chocolatiers and assist in their training and development.
- Support other areas of the kitchen as needed, particularly during high-volume production times.
- **Health & Safety Compliance**:

- Follow proper hygiene and food safety procedures to ensure the cleanliness of all equipment and work areas.
- Ensure that all equipment used in chocolate production is sanitized and well-maintained.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and quality standards established by the organization.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**:

- **Education**:

- Culinary degree or pastry chef training (preferred).
- Certification or formal training in chocolate making or confectionery (preferred).
- **Experience**:

- Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Chocolatier, Pastry Chef, or in a related role in a fine-dining restaurant, hotel, or chocolate-making establishment.
- Experience with chocolate tempering, molding, and the production of confections is essential.
- **Skills**:

- Strong knowledge of different types of chocolate, their properties, and how to work with them (e.g., dark, milk, white, couverture).
- Expertise in chocolate tempering and molding techniques.
- Creativity and attention to detail for designing and presenting chocolates.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize production.
- Good understanding of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
