About PPES

Founded in the year 2000, by Virendra (Sam) Singh, former President and Managing Director of DuPont South Asia. PPES is presently working with around 2500 girls and about 10,400 women in across 120 villages in and around Anupshahr town in
Western Uttar Pradesh. The objective is the social upliftment and economic empowerment of the girls and women in this region. PPES’ interventions are in the fields of Education (Formal School & Higher Education), Health & Hygiene, Women
Empowerment, and Economic Empowerment.

With the ultimate aim of ensuring financial independence for these girls and women, PPES also ensures that they are equal and contributing members of their families and communities. Education is the cornerstone of the organization's goal to alleviate poverty and create a fair and gender-just society.

The Opportunity

PPES seeks to scale its reach and impact over the next few years. Along with its head office in India, PPES has sister organizations in the UK, USA and Canada. We are now entering the next phase of growth and looking at strengthening our fundraising and communications vertical with the UK. There is a need to further diversify the donor base and modalities of fundraising while sustaining trusted relationships with existing funders along with strengthening internal and external communication.

About You/Requirements for the vacancy

You have an entrepreneurial mindset and passion for working with the underprivileged communities. You are comfortable working across the teams and departments to build and grow the PPES UK- the fundraising arm of Pardada Pardadi. You are an excellent relationship manager and eager to understand the organization’s work and vision and can articulate and communicate in simple ways to donors. You are an excellent project manager with a result oriented and process driven approach. You are comfortable working with corporations, trusts, foundations, international donors and high -profile organizations and individuals.
You are adaptable and self-motivated and ready to take initiative.

The Role

The PPES UK- Manager - Fundraising and Communications will work closely with the PPES UK management team along with the
CEO in India and the wider team and will play a key role in enabling PPES’s future growth through expanding PPES’s donor network across donor categories and funding sources.

Overall responsibilities
- Assist in developing and implementation of the fundraising plans for PPES UK
- Assist in identifying and researching potential funding opportunities from existing and new funding sources
- Establish and nurture organizational relationships with key external resources, coalitions, strategic alliances, impact funds and fundraising networks
- Increasing awareness in masses about the work of the organization and work as a brand ambassador of PPES
- Maintaining relationships with all UK donors, supporters, and sponsors through timely report/ update sharing, thank you letters and other correspondence as required.
- Through the establishment and execution of robust processes, ensure retention of existing and new donors and adhere to timelines and process to ensure accuracy.
- Assist in the planning and execution of fundraising events, donor engagement and volunteer programs.

Responsibilities - Fundraising
- Assist with the development and maintenance of relationships with corporates, philanthropic ventures, multilateral foundations, trusts and HNIs in the UK that could potentially make grants to the organization.
- With the CEO, develop new and innovative fundraising avenues to get new donors on board, including corporates for employee’s engagement/giving program
- Assist with the development and production of proposals to prospective donors and funders
- Ensure that the reporting and meeting process with PPES UK is disciplined and executed as specified
- Update and ensure an accurate donor database is maintained and shared on the google drive file
- Maintain accurate record of status of all renewals (renewed / didn’t renew / no response share with PPES UK for follow up)
- Set up and maintain the database and ensure accurate reporting on activity / grant proposals

Responsibilities - Communications
- Work extensively and regularly on increasing the online presence of the organization
- Updating regularly on social media about the organization’s program to increase visibility
- Administrative duties: ensuring the smooth functioning of the database. Software, website and others online mediums
- Supporting maintenance mechanisms of contact database management and using it for strengthening and enhancing sectoral partnerships.
