**Job description - Special Educator needed for Chengalpattu District (Community Based Therapist)**

**Project Details**:
Project ViThai is one of the Project of Varshini Illam Trust and it has been envisaged to provide therapy to children with disabilities between the age group of ( 0 to 6 years) from the Marginalized group of society. Project ViThai has been conceived to bring therapy closer to such children so that no children are denied the diagnosis and proper treatment due to the lack of all the above-mentioned issues. We have a fully equipped Pediatric Therapy on wheels with all modern physiotherapy equipment. This vehicle with the Physiotherapists goes to the locality of the children and gives therapy to them

The Early Intervention is a range of services designed to support poor family through those who are not able to take treatment for their children at the early stages of an infant or toddler’s developmental delay or disability.

The treatment was going to rend the services through wheel-based (Mobile Bus) rehabilitation.

**Role & Responsibilities**:

- A Special Educator educates children who face physical, mental, emotional, and learning disabilities. Able to work in mobile treatment pattern.
- Assessing children’s skills and learning requirements
- Designing Individualized Educational Plans (IEPs)
- Collaborating with parents to track children's progress
- The treatment will be in the Mobile Bus and the bus will go around the areas in which the parents needed help. Specifically to a child’s needs, age and abilities.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers and caretakers to help them understand the child’s needs and how they can help promote future independence.

**Job Types**:Full-time, Regular / Permanent

**Salary**: ₹15,000.00 to 19,000.00 per month
