**Key Responsibilities**:
1. **Assessment and Evaluation**:

- Conduct assessments to identify students' learning needs, strengths, and challenges.
- Collaborate with psychologists, speech therapists, and other specialists to assess students' cognitive, emotional, and behavioral development.

2. **Individualized Education Planning**:

- Develop and implement personalized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students' specific needs and goals.
- Modify curriculum and teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.

3. **Instruction and Support**:

- Provide direct instruction to students, adapting teaching methods and materials to facilitate learning.
- Use specialized techniques and assistive technologies to enhance student engagement and comprehension.
- Offer emotional and behavioral support, promoting a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

4. **Collaboration**:

- Collaborate with general education teachers to create inclusive classrooms where students with disabilities can participate meaningfully.
- Communicate regularly with parents, updating them on their child's progress and involving them in the educational process.
- Work closely with other professionals, such as speech therapists and occupational therapists, to address students' various needs.

5. **Professional Development**:

- Stay updated on the latest research, methods, and technologies in special education.
- Attend workshops, conferences, and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.

6. **Documentation and Reporting**:

- Maintain accurate records of students' progress, behavior, and achievements.
- Prepare reports for parents, school administrators, and other stakeholders detailing students' development and IEP progress.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Teaching certification/license in special education.
- Knowledge of various disabilities and appropriate teaching methods.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with students with disabilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in using assistive technologies and adaptive teaching methods.
