Product Owner

We are looking for an all-rounder Product Owner professional who will ensure a common vision for a product and maximize the value delivered through setting, prioritizing, and accepting the work generated by the development team.
The Product Owner will gather feature requests, schedule releases, and coordinate sprints. They will interface with the business stakeholders to identify user needs, help stakeholders understand the business value and work with cross-functional teams to manage product releases.
The Product Owner role is important as they are responsible for the delivery of a product that realizes our vision and satisfies the needs of the customers.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare, maintain, and evangelize a detailed product roadmap that defines product requirements, and enhancements for short
- and long-term releases with proper documentation.
- Own the product vision.
- Defining functional and non-functional product requirements around performance, serviceability, and scalability.
- Collaborating with prospective users and clients to understand and anticipate their needs and translate them into product requirements.
- Monitoring and evaluating product progress at each stage of the process.
- Create and maintain a product backlog complete with user stories built on fully developed requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Lead and participate in Scrum ceremonies including Backlog Grooming, Sprint Planning, Standups and Retrospectives.
- Developing and implementing a company-wide go-to-market plan, overseeing interdepartmental activities to execute plans.
- Work with sales management and other contributors to evaluate and prioritize opportunities and develop a strategy.
- Ensure excellent and accurate written and verbal communication with clients.
- Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality are a requirement for this position.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- 3+ years of proven experience in software development as a Product Owner.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, communications, business management, or a related field or commensurate experience.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills to support business writing, professional correspondence, and meeting facilitation with a diverse group of stakeholders at all management levels within the organization
- Experience developing a strategic product vision, incorporating a strong understanding of emerging technologies, and a good sense of the value delivered by competing choices.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Scrum and Agile Software Development Methodology and the ability to construct User Stories, Requirements, and Acceptance Criteria.
- Ability to work independently and provide project and team direction given general guidance
- Ability to prioritize effectively.
- Excellent knowledge of user-centric design principles
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Working knowledge of tools like Jira/Confluence/Miro etc

**Preferred Qualifications (nice to have)**:

- Experience working in the Insurance or e-commerce domain
- Experience working in a consulting environment
