In this role you will be responsible for driving technical accounting compliance, financial and operational internal controls, manage the wing-to-wing accounting and closing processes to deliver accurate USGAAP and Statutory financial reporting and analysis for our Indian and some entities in the Asia Pacific region. The role combines ownership of the end-to-end USGAAP and Statutory accounting, closing and reporting processes of Hydro Solutions India and some Asia Pacific based entities.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of activities required for the USGAAP quarter-end and month-end closing (performing accounting, balance sheet reviews, analysis and commentary) according to the business deadlines. Prepare and review monthly and quarterly USGAAP balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Ensure timely and accurate statutory regulatory filing completion in accordance with the local regulatory requirements
- Manage, review and support the agenda and priorities of the India CFO as well as the Hydro Global Controller as a direct report
- Build strong partnership with stakeholders across functions
- Coordinate relationship with authorities, internal and external auditors of our Indian and Asia Pacific Hydro Solutions entities, ensure requests are timely provided, queries are resolved
- Lead various R2R related projects upon need (e. g. simplifications, system changes, new policies implementation, migrations)
- Ensures controllership & compliance within local and GE GAP requirements
- Ensure that internal controls and check points are in place and are followed
- Supporting less experienced colleagues to develop skills to bring them to consensus. Prepare materials and provide training on technical accounting and other areas where knowledge/ gaps of the team are identified
- Lead & Support quarterly limited reviews and annual statutory closing process, coordinate GE internal & with external auditor to complete audit in time bound manner. Also support statutory closing in providing details for preparation of statutory accounts for GE entities based in Asia Pacific region.

**Qualifications/Requirements**
- Chartered Accountant with 7-8 years of experience
- Fluent Indian and English skills (both required)
- Multi-year relevant experience, strong knowledge of USGAAP and Indian statutory accounting rules.
- Advanced computer skills: ERP (preferably SAP), Microsoft Excel
- Clear thinking/problem solving, successfully led projects/process improvements within operations/finance functions
- Adaptable/Flexible: being open to change in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations
- Experience working in a matrixed environment, team-player attitude
- People management experience is an advantage
