We are urgently looking for Finance Controller for one of the Frozen Food Manufacturing Industry at Vadodara location.

Job Title: Finance Controller – Frozen Food Manufacturing Plant

Location: Vadodara

Role Overview

The Finance Controller will oversee all financial operations of the frozen food manufacturing facility, ensuring accurate reporting, cost control, compliance, and strategic financial support to plant leadership. This role combines traditional controllership duties with strong manufacturing cost accounting and operational partnering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead month-end and year-end closing for the plant including P&L, balance sheet, variance analysis, and management reports.
  • Maintain accurate general ledger and ensure compliance with accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP).
  • Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and rolling cost projections.

Cost Accounting & Inventory Control

  • Manage standard costing, BOM accuracy, yield tracking, and production variances (material, labor, overhead).
  • Monitor scrap, wastage, and rework costs specific to frozen food production (e.g., packaging loss, temperature-related spoilage).
  • Oversee inventory valuation, cycle counts, and physical stock audits of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.

Operational Finance & Performance Tracking

  • Partner with Production, Supply Chain, and Quality teams to track KPIs such as throughput, cost per kg, OEE, cold storage efficiency, utility cost, and logistics costs.
  • Support pricing decisions, promotions, and customer profitability analysis.

Compliance & Internal Controls

  • Ensure adherence to company financial policies, GST/VAT, excise, and local statutory regulations.
  • Implement and monitor internal controls across procurement, vendor payments, and capex approvals.

Team Leadership

  • Manage and develop on-site finance/accounting staff.
  • Coordinate with auditors (internal/external).

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CA/CMA/CPA preferred).
