**Roles and Responsibilities**:
A multinational corporation is seeking a Procurement Professional responsible for Procurement for Refractories from the Indian/Global Market to supply various project sites across India.
The role requires the individual to coordinate daily with team members to ensure the smooth execution of tasks assigned by the Project team, from material delivery to site to finalizing orders with suppliers.
Responsibilities include: sending out Requests for Quotation (RFQ), evaluating offers, and issuing Purchase Orders; confirming orders with suppliers; managing Freight Forwarders and consistently minimizing procurement costs; developing and executing purchasing strategies; negotiating material prices and ensuring timely delivery to sites within contract deadlines; maintaining strong communication with relevant departments to synchronize delivery schedules; preparing comparative cost analyses using collected proposals; keeping an up-to-date supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation; ensuring all procured items meet the requisite quality standards and specifications; tracking and reporting key functional metrics to reduce expenses and enhance efficiency; meticulously maintaining documentation for easy retrieval; developing vendors; and possessing excellent written and verbal communication skills. Travel may be required.
