**Position Purpose**:
This position would take guidance from Plant IT Incharge and the role will be to manage identification, development and implementation of Information Technology projects and services of AgChem operations. Closely work with the AgChem operations / functional teams and users for providing in time solutions.

**Strategic Responsibilities**:

- Manage and coach technical staff to deliver innovative, cost-effective business solutions.
- Collaborate with other technology managers and assist the IT head in ensuring that the best business-driven, technology solutions are delivered to the organization.
- Plan and manage multiple activities within the group and provide resources to support cross-functional projects as required
- Champion the Technology initiatives across the various businesses
- Evaluate feasibility of automating repetitive business processes to ensure higher efficiency
- Reduce Operating Costs through technology interventions

**Operational Responsibilities**:

- Maintain a robust technology infrastructure to support the overall IT strategy and the day-to-day operation of the business.
- Evaluate Solution providers for various technology initiatives
- Evaluate health of current infrastructure and provide continuous improvements
- Ensure that system security across all platforms is sound.
- Provide technical leadership, direction and guidance to the Infrastructure team and other IT staff as required.
- Understand overall business requirements and ensure a high level of user satisfaction with technology solutions.
- Manage Annual budget for Infrastructure and Technology solutions
- Manage Relationships with infrastructure Vendors
- Ensure Terms and Conditions of all Contracts are honoured and exceptions are managed
- Report on IT Performance and Budgets to Head IT.

**Financial Responsibilities**:

- Optimise Cost of Infrastructure and Technology solutions
- Balancing costs for competitive advantage while adopting the best in class technology solutions

**People Responsibilities**:

- Attract, mentor, retain, manage and support high-performance technicians
- Propose Manpower Budget for IT
- Ensure smooth working of the department to maintain high Morale of the Workforce
- Implement initiatives to build desired culture for the IT Department

**Education Qualification**:
DCE (Diploma in Computer Engineering) / BCA

**Work Experience**:
At least 5-8 years of work experience IT field.

Any

**Functional Competencies**:

- Awareness of Information Security Tools like TrendMicro, Klassify, ForcePoint, CyberArk etc.
- Good understanding of Information Security concepts
- Hands on knowledge on information security tools
- Thorough knowledge/hands-on of security solutions (AV, DLP, SIEM, IDPS, Firewall, Web-Proxy etc.).
- Able to assess, plan and architect the IT Infrastructure for IT Applications
- Good understanding of the organization’s IT infrastructure, services provided and customers/users
