We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of **Assistant Vice President Vetting Operations.**

**Principal responsibilities**
- Support vetting management and vetting operations related to the region.
- Ensure effective processes are in place to provide service between HSBC and the vendor, including regular engagement and challenge of processes, invoices, etc.
- Develop a strong understanding of the unique aspects and challenges of each Business Line to enable targeted messaging and service to be provided.
- The jobholder will also continually reassess the operational risks associated with the role and inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructurings, and the impact of new technology.
- The jobholder will also adhere to and be able to demonstrate adherence to internal controls. This will be achieved by adherence to all relevant procedures, keeping appropriate records and, where appropriate, by the timely implementation of internal and external audit points, including issues raised by external regulators.
Requirements- Good understanding of HSBC Group structures, processes, and objectives
- Good knowledge of the external environment - regulatory, political, competitors etc.
- Proven experience of supporting stakeholders and of driving forward change.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively and confidently at all levels.
- Have good interpersonal communication and presentation skill.
- Project and/or change management skills is advantageous.
- Ability to exercise discretion, work independently toward stakeholder, complete assignments timely and facilitate any audit review.
- Data analytics skill, strategic thinking, learning agility.
