**About SPYM**:SPYM is a national organization with a countrywide presence working in the area of health and socio-economic development since last above 38 years. SPYM is working in the domains of Health, Socio-economic development, Advocacy and Networking in the North, South and North Eastern part of India. SPYM has worked with Govt. agencies i.e. Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Ministry of Rural Development, Govt. of India etc. along with Multilaterals agencies like World Bank, UN agencies like UNDP, UNFPA, UNICEF, UNAIDS, UNODC etc., bilateral agencies like DFID, USAID, CIDA etc.
**Job Summary**:
The Communication and Documentation Officer will be responsible for managing the creation, organization, and dissemination of content related to SPYM’s activities. This includes writing and editing proposals, reports, newsletters, and other documents, as well as ensuring that all communication materials align with the organization’s strategic vision and goals. Additionally, the officer will oversee the organization's social media presence, ensuring consistent, engaging, and effective communication across all platforms.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Proposal Writing**: Support in drafting and preparing proposals for funding, including gathering necessary information, formatting, and editing content.
- **Documentation and Reporting**: Assist in writing and preparing regular reports, including programmatic reports, monitoring and evaluation reports, and donor reports.
- **Content Development**: Develop engaging content for newsletters, annual reports, and other communication materials.
- **Social Media Management**: Develop and implement a social media strategy to enhance the organization’s online presence.
- **Editing and Proofreading**: Ensure all written materials are clear, concise, error-free, and consistent with organizational style and tone.
- **Internal and External Communication**: Support internal communication by documenting key meetings, presentations, and events; assist in creating external communication materials, including press releases, blog posts, and social media content.
- **Collaborative Support**: Work closely with other departments to gather relevant information, ensuring all documentation is comprehensive and accurate.
**Skills and Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 0-3 years of experience in communication, documentation, or a related role, preferably in the non-profit sector.
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail.
- Experience in proposal writing and developing reports for donors or stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
Work Location: In person
