**Key Responsibilities**:

- Operate and monitor sewage treatment equipment to ensure proper functioning and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct routine inspections and tests to assess sewage quality and treatment effectiveness.
- Adjust treatment processes as needed to maintain compliance with regulatory standards and quality objectives.
- Lead and mentor junior technicians, providing guidance and training to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies and participate in inspections and audits to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and permits.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend the life of equipment.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and implement effective solutions to minimize disruptions to plant operations.
- Maintain accurate records of plant operations, including equipment maintenance, sewage quality data, and chemical usage.
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize plant performance, improve efficiency, and implement process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
- **Requirements**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or certification in wastewater treatment or related field preferred.
- Minimum of [2] years of experience working in a sewage treatment plant, with a demonstrated progression of increasing responsibility.
- Strong knowledge of sewage treatment processes, equipment, and regulations.
- Leadership experience, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team of technicians.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
