**Principal, HR Practice NewsDesk**

**About the role**:
We are looking for a project manager for Gartner’s HR NewsDesk. The Gartner HR NewsDesk portfolio currently includes the HR Monthly Journal/Magazine, Newsletters, and Benchmarking webinars. The primary responsibility of the role includes, a) work with the chief editor to compile and edit the monthly client journal of top HR content and b) support strategy and operations for fast-cycle research team.

**What you will do**:

- Keeping authors and editors on schedule to meet deadlines for HR Monthly publishing.
- Understanding the stakeholders and steps of the process; communicating regularly with authors, reviewers, editors, and other stakeholders to ensure prompt action.
- Writing short articles on existing research in a ‘journalistic’ style.
- Copy editing and proofreading under the guidance of the chief editor.
- Ensuring management of content in the content management system and supporting authors and editors in completing the necessary steps
- Serve as internal marketing lead to raise awareness when each issue publishes and boost visibility with clients.
- Working with various departments to improve the timeliness and quality of published research and presentations.
- Working independently to pull metrics, create reports, and coordinate meetings for the HR NewsDesk.
- Operational ownership of the monthly benchmarking webinar. Tracking process and ensuring actionability from various stakeholder involved.
- Lead marketing and recruiting for monthly webinar. This will include helping in creation of the marketing material and following the process for promoting the webinar and driving recruitment.
- End to end distribution of webinar results, including external and internal circulation of results in a committed timeline.
- Ad-hoc project support and other special assignments.

**What you will need**:

- Graduate or master’s degree
- 5-7 years of experience
- Good writing skills, especially in a ‘journalistic’ style
- Experience in an extremely fast paced work environment - preferably in Research, Media, Marketing, or account/client service
- Ability to use databases, analysis tools, standard reporting tools (such as Power BI) is a plus
- Experience working with remote teams.
- Experience handling multiple priority projects or tasks.
- Self-starter - must be able to own, manage, and complete projects and special assignments with little instruction.
