**INCHARGE - IMPORT**

**Job Summary**: The Import Incharge will be responsible for overseeing and managing the import operations for chemical products. This role requires a strong understanding of import regulations, logistics, and supply chain management.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Import Documentation**: Prepare and review all necessary import documentation, including purchase orders, invoices, shipping documents, customs clearance, and import permits.
- **Regulatory Compliance**: Ensure compliance with all relevant import regulations and certifications for chemical products, including hazardous materials handling.
- **Supplier Management**: Collaborate with international suppliers to secure optimal shipping arrangements and negotiate favourable terms for imports.
- **Customs Clearance**: Coordinate with customs brokers and authorities to ensure timely and efficient customs clearance for imported goods.
- **Logistics**: Plan and manage the logistics of chemical imports, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
- **Cost Control**: Monitor and optimize import costs, including shipping, tariffs, and customs fees.
- **Quality Control**: Work closely with the quality control team to ensure that imported chemicals meet the required quality standards.
- **Risk Management**: Identify and mitigate potential risks related to imports, such as supply chain disruptions or regulatory changes.
- **Reporting**: Generate regular reports on import activities, costs, and performance indicators for management review.
- **Relationship Management**: Build and maintain strong relationships with international suppliers, customs authorities, and logistics partners.

- Risk Assessment: The ability to identify and mitigate potential risks associated with imports.
- Quality Assurance: Understanding of quality control and quality assurance procedures for chemical products.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Supply Chain Management, International Business, or Chemistry).
- Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in import operations, preferably in the chemical industry.
- Knowledge of relevant software and tools used in import and supply chain management.

**Company Profile**:
**CTC - 5 to 6 Lacs Per Annum**
