Job Description

Primary functions and essential responsibilities

Patch Deployment and Testing
- Establish a standardized testing process to verify the compatibility and stability of patches before deployment to production environments.
- Collaborate closely with development, infrastructure, and security teams to schedule and implement patching activities with mínimal impact on business operations.
- Troubleshoot issues with the patching process, including installation failures.
- Perform regular maintenance of systems, including patch approval and maintenance of third-party patch catalogues.
- Stay informed about new features to provide support and training to staff and clients.
- Assist other team members with tasks outside of patching as time permits.

Vulnerability Assessment and Risk Analysis
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments to identify potential security risks and prioritize patching based on criticality and impact.
- Collaborate with the security team to evaluate the risk associated with unpatched vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.

Compliance and Reporting
- Stay updated with industry regulations, standards, and best practices related to patch management.
- Generate reports and metrics on patch compliance, vulnerability remediation progress, and system performance to provide insights to management and stakeholders.

Qualification and Experience:

- Graduate or equivalent
- 2 to 5 years of relevant work experience

Preferred Skills:

- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft SCCM and experience with Tenable i.o or similar vulnerability scanning tools.
- Thorough understanding of Active Directory, including replication and Group Policy Objects (GPO).
- Engage with tuning of alerts to help improve their fidelity.
- Extensive knowledge of Windows operating systems patching and third-party tools such as Google Chrome, Adobe, and M365 Updates.
- Advanced knowledge of registry, permissions, and drivers and software required.
- Knowledge of PowerShell scripting.
- Familiarity with Linux is advantageous
